Sanctus Barnabas / Saint Barnabas

Saint Barnabas is one of the most prominent early disciples in the Catholic Church, ranked as an Apostle alongside the Twelve. Known as the “son of encouragement,” he is celebrated for selling his property to fund the infant Church, advocating for St. Paul’s acceptance, and taking the Gospel to Gentiles.

Saint Barnabé (ou Barnabas) est un disciple majeur et un compagnon de l’apôtre Paul, fêté le 11 juin par l’Église catholique. Surnommé le « fils d’encouragement » par les apôtres, cet homme de foi originaire de Chypre a joué un rôle décisif dans l’expansion du christianisme primitif.
